Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm invites visitors of all ages to discover a working 19th century farm with oxen, horses, and other livestock-where your family can engage in some of the activities that were a part of daily life for the Mahaffie family and their neighbors. Begin your visit in the Heritage Center to visit exhibits and watch a ten minute video. 

Activities, Hours, and Admission vary by season:

  • Wednesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday noon to 4 p.m.: 1860s Living History including stagecoach rides, seasonal farming activities, blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations, tours of the Mahaffie House and Agricultural Heritage Livestock Barn are offered during open hours. Visit exhibits in the Heritage Center and watch videos about the Mahaffie family and the Border/Civil War. All activities included with regular admission: $7/adults, $5/children ages 5 to 11, under 4 are free. 
  • Monday-Tuesday: Visit exhibits in the Heritage Center and Agricultural Heritage Barn, watch videos about the Mahaffie family, and explore the Mahaffie grounds. Open Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Construction Alert for northbound I-35 Travelers using the Santa Fe Exit
  • Mahaffie is closed major holidays, except for Independence Day

Stagecoach rides are: 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., & 3:30 p.m. Visit exhibits in the Heritage Center & Agricultural Heritage Barn, watch videos about the Mahaffie family & Border War. Purchase your souvenirs in the Mahaffie Market located in the Heritage Center. $7/adults, $5/children ages 5-11 (Olathe residents receive $2/off admission)

Please park in the parking lot of the Heritage Center to begin your visit. After viewing the video and exhibit, take your short walk to the grounds of the Mahaffie Farm. Attend one of our special events.
