Activities and Hours vary by season:

  • November-March: 1860s Living History offered during Special Events. Visit the Mahaffie House weekends.
  • 1860s Living history activities offered, Weekends April, May, September & October, Wednesdays-Sundays Memorial Day-Labor Day
  • 1860s Living history activities may include: stagecoach rides, visiting the Mahaffie House, blacksmith, and cookstove demonstrations and seasonal farm activities
  • When stagecoach rides are available, times are: 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. (Sundays-stagecoach rides begin at 12:30 p.m.)
  • Olathe residents receive $1/off admission for all activities
  • Active Agers Outreach Programs
  • Mahaffie is closed major holidays, except Independence Day
  • I-35 KDOT construction project will impact travel route to and from Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop

Please park in the parking lot of the Heritage Center to begin your visit. After viewing the video and exhibit, take your short walk to the grounds of the Mahaffie Farm. Attend one of our special events.
