2014 Winners Sunflower WicketsThe Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm Foundation hosted the fifth annual Sunflower Wickets Croquet Tournament Friday June 6, 2014. This event raises money for the support and enhancement of public programs at Mahaffie.

The 2014 Schedule

Events to be held at the new Olathe Community Center, 1205 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe, KS 66061

First Rounds of Croquet Play will be at Two Trails Park 1000 N. Ridgeview Road Olathe, KS

  • Registration: 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Olathe Community Center (Shuttles to Two Trails Park promptly begin at 1:15 p.m.)
  • Croquet Play: 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Two Trails Park, 1000 N. Ridgeview
  • Final Round of Croquet Play: 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Great Lawn of the Olathe Community Center
  • Wicked Wickets Happy Hour: 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Community Rooms with presentations beginning at 4 p.m.
  • Thank you to Sunflower Cafe, 111. South Cherry Street, Olathe for delicious appetizers and desserts for Wicked Wickets Happy Hour

Croquet Play Overview:

  • 18 teams of two
  • Five-Twenty minute rounds or first team to five points
  • Five rounds of play
  • Croquet play will be 'Golf Croquet" This style is a reduced field with six wickets. The object of the game is to play your ball through the wickets with the least mount of strokes. Once you drive the croquet ball through the wicket, your team will be awarded one point
