Independence Day Celebration activities may include:

• Reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by cannon fire at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
• Meeting Lady Columbia and Uncle Sam
• Vintage base ball games at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (review the rules of the game!)
• Blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations
• Tours of the Mahaffie Farmhouse
• Stagecoach rides
• Ice cream, root beer, and root beer floats available for purchase

Regular living history admission applies: $9/adult, $7/child (ages 5–11), free for children 4 and under. Olathe residents receive $2 off admission.

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics for this all-American celebration!
