Spring is a busy time on the Mahaffie Farm! There are many activities and events for all ages. 

  •  Easter: 1860s Style!-Cancelled
    • Learn about the Oschter Haws, the original Easter bunny and try hot cross buns! Saturday, April 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No registration required. 
  • Spring Homeschool Days-Cancelled
    • Home school families are invited to learn about Work & Play: 1860s Style! Thursday, April 23 or Friday, April 24. Sessions are offered each day: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  •  Spring on the Farm
    • Watch our farmers shear our sheep, help wash wool, and help in the garden! Take a stagecoach ride, see what is cooking on Mrs. Mahaffie's cookstove, and more! Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No registration required. 
  • Spring Scout Day
    • Boy and Girl Scouts of all ages and levels can earn a special Mahaffie patch! Help with spring chores, visit the Mahaffie House, and take a stagecoach ride! Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 to 3 p.m. Registration required.
  • Painting It Forward
    • Pinot's Palette in Olathe is helping you decorate a beautiful wine bottle to raise funds for Mahaffie! $41/painter and $10 is going back to the Mahaffie Foundation for support of programs such as Family Fun Nights. Register at Pinot's Palette
  • Living History: 1860s Style! We are open year-round. 1860s Living History activities such as stagecoach rides, visiting the Mahaffie house, blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations and seasonal farming activities. We hope to kick off these activities in May.
