The Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm Foundation invites you to play in our eleventh annual Sunflower Wickets Croquet Tournament in September. The date will be announced soon!  


This event raises money for the support and enhancement of public programs at Mahaffie. 

Events are held at the Olathe Community Center, 1205 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe, KS 66061

  • Registration: 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the Olathe Community Center.
  • Croquet Play: 1:30 to 3 p.m. 
  • Final Round of Croquet Play: 3 to 3:30 p.m. on the Great Lawn of the Olathe Community Center.
  • Wicked Wickets Happy Hour: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Community Rooms with presentations beginning at 4 p.m.

Croquet Play Overview

  • Eighteen teams of two
  • Five twenty-minute rounds or first team to earn five points
  • Five rounds of play
  • Croquet play will be 'Golf Croquet" This style is a reduced field with six wickets. The object of the game is to play your ball through the wickets with the least amount of strokes. Once you drive the croquet ball through the wicket, your team will be awarded one point. The first team to six wickets wins the round. Each team is guaranteed two rounds of croquet play. 
  • Thank you to the Midwest Croquet Association for coordinating play and providing equipment.
